| I enrolled at Animation Mentor the online animation school taught
by industry professionals. You can see my progress reel HERE
which shows all my current work at Animation Mentor. |
I'm moving to the CG and movie
epicenter of the world, Los Angeles, to start the search for the
infamous first job in a new career. Wish me luck! |
I've Graduated and living in
Las Vegas for a while completing personal projects (Subaru
Impreza) and a few other things until I decide where I'm off
to next. |
| Graduation: I will graduate from UAT on August 18 with a Bachelors
of Multimedia with a focus on Digital Animation. I can't wait to see
what life has in store for me now. For a couple of words to sum up
the moment "wow" for I've graduated college, "already"
because it went too fast, and "finally" for it was a long
process. |
SIGGRAPH was incredible, I learned
so much from the courses, posters, animation theaters, and industry
professionals I was able to talk to. The conference floor
and job fair were just as informal. The floor had all the
latest software (I'm looking forward to what 64 bit computing can
offer) and I liked some of the presentations including the one Jason
S. hosted at the Maya booth. The job fair was a circus, I'm
happy I don't have to look for a job right now because I still have
a year before I graduate, but it was great to get use to what it
will be when I begin looking I also know the do's and don'ts of
job hunting at SIGGRAPH. As for courses I liked the Madagascar,
Polar Express, and the acting for animators presentation. Well
that is it and I can't wait for SIGGRAPH next year in Boston. I
hope to be a student volunteer. |
I'm going to SIGGRAPH 2005 in
L. A. California, and even better than that I'm able to afford the
full conference pass, Whoo Hooo!! I've been waiting all
year its going to be great, courses, panels, papers, the conference
floor, and how could I forget the key note speaker George Lucas. |
